S.C. Governor's Committee on Employment of People With Disabilities Scholarship

The South Carolina Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities Scholarship 2012 Journalism Contest topic is " Profit by investing in workers with disabilities." The winner of the contest receives a four-year scholarship to the S.C. state-supported institution of his or her choice provided that the winner is otherwise qualified.
The scholarship pays for undergraduate tuition and fees.
The winner must be able to verify financial need to the chosen state -supported institution (FAFSA form).
Eligibility: 1. Must be a S.C. resident 16 to 19 yrs old. 2. Must be a high school junior or senior.
You do not have to have a disability to enter.
Entries must be postmarked no later than Feb. 1, 2012 to Mark Wade, Assistant Commissioner, SCVRD, 1410 Boston Ave., P.O. Box 15, West Columbia, S.C. 29171-0015. For any questions you may call S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation Department at (803)896-6503.

Spartanburg Methodist College Scholarship Program

Spartanburg Methodist College offers a full tuition financial aid package for high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA. Must have completed FAFSA by June 30, 2012 to determine eligibility for Pell Grants and the SC Tuition Grant program.
They also offer the "Early Decision Scholarship" that range from $1500 to $500.

South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Must be S.C. High School Senior enrolled in S.C. high school or college.
2. Must have cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale through spring 2011 semester.
3. Must be S.C. resident.
4. Must attend an accredited public or private S.C. college or university in the fall of 2012.
5. Must have a competitive or recreational interest in golf.

Kittie Moss Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must be a resident of S.C. and a High School Senior enrolled in S.C. high school.
2. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale through the spring 2011 semester.
3. Must have a combined SAT score of 1800 or a composite ACT score of 26.
4. Parent's household adjusted gross income not exceeding $40,000.
5. Applicants must demonstrate traits of high personal character & leadership.
6. Applicants must attend any accredited two or four year college located in S.C. for fall 2012.

Spartanburg Methodist College Scholar Program

Spartanburg Methodist College is offering high school seniors who graduate with a 3.0 GPA, a full tuition financial aid package for the 2012-2013 academic year. The college also offers " Early Decision Scholarships" that range from $1500 to $500 depending on when the students pay their reservation deposit for the upcoming year.
